Fat oaf gives under-performing oafs a two day break...
Well going to Dubai worked out so I can see the logic.

*Chucks wanker sign*

Are we believing Hugh this week by the way, I lose track.

CANDHEXCLUSIVE

Sam Allardyce has stunned Irons insiders by handing the West Ham squad a couple of days off following the crushing defeat by Everton on Saturday.

He broke the news to his players after the late 2-1 defeat which had the fans rushing for the exits rather than celebrating on the pitch and ClaretandHugh understands they won’t be back in training until Wednesday in preparation for the last day game at Newcastle.

It’s a surprising reaction to yet another defeat as the team heads forthe north east and received a mixed response from insiders

One told us: “How on earth can you reward them for failure? I’d have thought it was a case of extra training rather than time off. It’s odd at best and probably not what the fans want to hear at this stage of the proceedings!”

However, another – trying to put a positive spin on the news – declared: “Sam believes that if you reward players you will probably get a response, others see it the other way around.

“After all that approach didn’t work to well with the Dubai break did it? Thank goodness when this bizarre season comes to an end.”

What would the sports scientists of this site advise? Have them all running around the pitch non stop in their underpants as a punishment?

There's only ONE game left FFS!

All we've got to play for is pride on Sunday and hope Spurs beat Everton, at least that gets us in the top half!

Let's see if Allardyce can be bothered to go for the win

Last year the team trained for one day between the Spurs and City games. Absolute joke.

I don't care. I assume the majority don't care. Sam doesn't care and neither do the players. Because that is what Sam has created. A club that doesn't care.

What the fuck difference will it make? We are in free-fall and there is fuck all Sam or the players can do about it. Sam has run out of ideas and excuses. So just have the time off and meet back up in a few days.

Sooner the bloke is gone the better now. It's a fucking shambles.

It's weird how a couple of days off is seen as a 'Reward'. Working class mentality.

Too often this season the squad has knocked off work after 90 minutes instead of playing until the ref's whistle.

As Mr Polite has mention I think he wants the time off himself. At this stage of the season it's a bit late for improvement in fitness and tactics. The team has often looked like it's just met up for the first time an hour before kick off so what difference does one last game make.

I hate Allardyce and want him gone but i don't see the issue given them a couple of days off and then coming back in for 2 -3 training b4 the Newcastle game.

I think the issue is his position is untenable , everything he does is questioned and will be questioned even if (god fucking help us) he is back next year.

They clearly don't do anything when they train anyway so it won't make a shred of difference. Lose when they train, lose when they don't.

BARMAN!

Re: Fat oaf gives under-performing oafs a two day break...
The players generally have TWO days off midweek when they play on a Saturday then a Sunday as they train 4 days prior or the game.

I do love a bit of pointless outrage however

Sven Roeder 1:48 Mon May 18
Re: Fat oaf gives under-performing oafs a two day break...
Am surprised he is bothering coming in at all this week.
To be honest a couple of days less of his training might improve the performance on Sunday.
That said I expect a stroll where Newcastle score a couple and then the game just plays out at walking pace.
